Is Mosaic Law the inspired word of God?
The saying is that the bible is the inspired word of god. If this is true, then everything in it is the word of god, not just parts of it (that would mean that ‘parts’ of the bible are the inspired word of god, leaving the question of which are and aren’t).
If the bible is the inspired word of god, and Mosaic law is part of the bible, then Mosaic law are the words of god. That would mean that they are unchanging, yesterday, today, and forever, right? So where does Jesus get off claiming to be the son of god and changing what is supposed to be unchanging? Did they lie when they said god and his word were unchanging?
Gratvol, voices like yours need to be heard by christians. I think they are very confused about their religion and need to hear of it’s roots from a different perspective.
“Inspired word of God”? Inspired my @ss. The buy-bull is the inspired word of men. Predominately men of the early church who desired to control the masses through fear of an imaginary place. No one knows for 100% certain the word of God.
Jesus never claimed to be the son of God any more than we are ALL children of God. Even in the bible there is no place where Jesus said that his mother was virgin when he was born. I think Paul overlooked that when he decided to twist the life of a man who was a great teacher.
I think Jesus was probably a Buddhist or an Essene. There are 18 years of his life mysteriously missing from the bible. Why? Where was he? What did they have to hide? They fabricated so much, why not fabricate an early adult life for him?
What happened to Mary Magdalene? She is not heard from again after she tells of seeing his “resurrected” body. Which was probably his spirit, in my opinion.
Why was the OT God so damn vengeful and murderous? This is supposed to be a deity after all.
What I don’t get is why doesn’t everyone see these glaring contradictions?
