art and design assignment?
i have an assignment to do by the 16th september its called a summer holiday assignment for when i start college.
i need to
1. draw about the world around me eg. family, where i live.
but what could i actually draw and how can i present it in my sketch book.
2.write about a book/website which inspires me
but i dont have anything i can think of
3. collect things with only a short life
such as news papers magazines ect.
but how could i present all these
if anyone could help id be very grateful
How about one continuous line drawing that moves from page to page in a small sketchbook.Something resembling what a drawing on an etch a sketch looks like.Start with A pair of shoes on the floor,objects next to them[magazine,ipod,etc.] Show us a still life of your breakfast,on the table,kitchen behind it.Sketch your house with landscape,family car,dog or cat.Do a family portrait,all in continuous line….where you go in a day,friends,etc.
Can’t help you with the book,that’s a personal choice,but there are websites showing works by new artists.
Make an interesting and well designed collage of objects, Perhaps instead of using paper or card board or poster board you could do your collage on a discarded soap[detergent]box,or an oatmeal box[cylindrical].Use dried leaves or flowers,even a dollar bill torn up. Just be sure to make it interesting! Good luck.
